Brett Derrell Maxie

About

Former defensive back and defensive coach that played for the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers between the years 1985 and 1997. He was hired as the University of Colorado's safeties coach in 2020.

Before Fame

Prior to playing in the NFL, he played collegiate football at Texas Southern University. 

Trivia

His first coaching job was as the Quality control coach and defensive backs coach for the Carolina Panthers in 1998.

He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
