About

Spoken-word poet who is best recognized for winning season 15 of America's Got Talent. His powerful poems were about anything from the Black Lives Matter movement to his daughter.  Aside from being a spoken-word poet, he is a keynote speaker and art educator.

Before Fame

He earned a Golden Buzzer during the auditions round from judge Howie Mandel.  

Trivia

He dedicated one of his performances on America's Got Talent to Breonna Taylor. He is the founder and CEO of Called To Move, a platform to promote poets and inspire others to pursue poetry. He has spoken and performed at a number of universities, conferences, and poetry slams.

Family Life

He was born in Stockton, California. He and his wife Anna have a daughter named Aaliyah.
