Before Fame

As a kid, he took part in football, soccer, wrestling, and track and field. He majored in healthcare management at Southern Illinois University. In college, he became interested in weightlifting. 

Trivia

After being teased for his scrawny physique, he got into bodybuilding while working as a hospitality manager at DuPage hospital. He went from 145 pounds after graduating high school to 195. 

Family Life

He was born in Chicago. He attended Streamwood High School in Streamwood, Illinois. He has an older sister. His father is his manager. His parents both emigrated to the U.S. from Trinidad.
