Boyd Kane

About

Former NHL left-winger that primarily played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals during his 16-year career. He was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1996, though after he and the Penguins couldn't come to an agreement, he was taken by the New York Rangers during the 1998 NHL draft. He's also played hockey professionally in the Russian Kontinental Hockey League.

Before Fame

Prior to his NHL career, he played junior hockey for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. He played with the Pats between the ages of 16 and 20. 

Trivia

He made his official NHL debut while playing against the San Jose Sharks on October 16, 2003. The match ended in a 0-0 draw. 

Family Life

He grew up living with his parents and siblings in Swift Current, Canada.
