Before Fame

He started out playing the banjo and then adapted that fast finger-picking style of playing to his guitar playing.

Trivia

For the first couple years with Mastodon, Hinds had a side job as a carpenter to make ends meet.

Family Life

His parents divorced when he was ten years old; he grew up with siblings, Traci and Brad. He married Raisa Moreno in May 2017.
