Betty Davis

American funk and soul singer who gained fame as one of the most influential voices of the funk era of music. Her debut album was released in 1973 and was self-titled. She released a total of four studio albums throughout her career.

She was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina.

Trivia

One of the first songs she wrote at the age of twelve, was called "I'm Going to Bake That Cake of Love."  She released a total of 16 singles starting in 1963.

Family Life

She was married to Miles Davis, but it was short lived.
