Benjamin Raich

About

Former Olympic skier that represented the Austrian men's national team from the year 2002 until the year 2014. He also competed during the World Championships, as well as the World Cup. As a skier, he primarily competed on the slalom, giant slalom, combined, super-G, and downhill events. 

Before Fame

As a teenager, he made several appearances at the Junior World Ski Championships. He also won gold medal at least three years in a row. 

Trivia

He won five different gold medals during his professional skiing career. Most notably, he won two gold medals at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. 

Family Life

He lives along with his wife and their three children. He is a married to fellow skier Marlies Schild.
