Before Fame

He graduated from college in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he began performing with the gospel group Fitiavana. 

Trivia

His stage name was inspired by his signature bowtie, which led friends to compare him to the Uncle Ben's Rice mascot. 

Family Life

His real name is Benjamin Duterde. He was raised by his mother and did not meet his father until the age of 22.
