Ben Bennett

Former quarterback who played in the NFL and the Arena Football League. He was inducted into the AFL Hall-of-Fame in 2000, and went on to coach in the AFL.

Before Fame

He set 18 school records playing football at Peterson High School in Sunnyvale, California.

Trivia

He played college football at Duke University and in 1982 became the first player in the ACC in 30 years to pass for over 3,000 yards.

He grew up with his family in Sunnyvale, California.

Associated With

He was the first quarterback to run the "Fun & Gun" offense, the pass-heavy attack that eventually made coach Steve Spurrier famous.
