Avriel Shull

About

Self-taught architect and interior designer known for her mid-twentieth-century architectural designs. She worked primarily on single-family homes in Hamilton and Marion counties in central Indiana.

Before Fame

She attended the John Herron School of Art and Butler University, but did not graduate from either institution. She left school in 1948 and started her own commercial art business.

Trivia

She was a member of the National Association of Home Builders.

Family Life

She married and had two daughters with newspaper columnist Richard K. Shull.

She admired the work of painter Andrew Wyeth.
