Before Fame

He first started his amateur career in February of 2016, making his debut at the Cup of Khabarovsky. After several other amateur matches, he made his professional fighting debut in September 2015. 

Trivia

He is known for having defeated Felipe Oliveiri with a head kick during an August 2018 match at the Plotforma Cup. In the spring of 2024, he was #1 in the UFC lightweight rankings.

While he was born in Armenia, he was raised in Krasnodar, Russia.
