Pop singer, songwriter, television personality, and artist development expert known for starring as the music expert in Beverly Hills Pawn, appearing on MTV's Little Talent Show, and for starring on NBC's show Star Tomorrow. She is also known for her hit songs "Beauty," "Lighthouse," and "If You're Down" and for being the founder of the artist development and vocal coaching firm The Golden Voice.

Before Fame

She began singing at a very young age. She consistently won the Overall Grand Champion title at the California State Talent Competition for vocals from 1996 through 2001. She was part of a girl group called Reality during her early teens. She then fronted the band Lucky Six before she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a solo career.

Trivia

She received the eWorld Music Award for Best Female Performer in 2012, the World Music and Dance Award for Artist of the Year in 2010, and a Billboard Award for Song of the Year for her song "If You're Down" in 2009. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Newark, California. Her father Mike Johnson was a bass guitarist for the band Bogus Thunder and later for Bad Boy Bruce & the Blues Mob. She has one daughter.
