Arthtur E. Raymond

About

Aeronautical engineer who designed the DC-3 which was the first airliner that could break even hauling passengers without a government subsidy. He also worked with NASA on Project Gemini and Project Apollo until 1969.

Before Fame

He attended Harvard University and studied aeronautical engineering at MIT.

Trivia

He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Trophy from the National Air and Space Museum in 1991.
