Andy Heyward

Producer, writer, and business executive most widely recognized for being the former chairman and CEO of the animation production company DIC Entertainment. He co-founded A2 Entertainment in 2009 with his wife, Amy, and in the year 2013, the company merged with Genius Brands, and he became CEO of the merged Genius Brands International. With Genius Brands International, he has produced children and family movies like A Christmas Carol and Inspector Gadget.

Before Fame

He had abundant exposure to the entertainment industry as a child, as his father worked as a VP of development at entertainment companies like Four Star International. He and his co-investors took over DIC Enterprises in 1986.

He co-wrote the 2013 book Secret Millionaires Club: Warren Buffett's 26 Secrets to Success in the Business of Life, with his ex-wife Amy Heyward.

Family Life

He is the son of Sylvia Block and Louis M. "Deke" Heyward, the latter of whom served as VP of development at entertainment enterprises such as Four Star International and Barry & Enright Productions. He has been married to Evelyn Heyward and Amy Moynihan. He is the father of 4 children, including the late Bobby Heyward.
