Bulgarian-Canadian composer who arranged more than 40 works that were performed by a variety of orchestras, including the Sofia Philharmonic.

Before Fame

She studied composition at Boston University and at the Eastman School of Music where she was taught by Robert Morris and Richard Cornell.

Trivia

She was a Gaudeamus International Composers Award finalist in 2006 and a 2007 Tanglewood Music Center composition fellow.

Family Life

She was born in Sofia and immigrated to Montreal, Canada.

Associated With

She was selected as one of four composers to write a children's piece for the Montreal Symphony Orchestra's Children's series, an ensemble in which Louis Lortie played piano.
