British actress, entertainer, and performer who is known for playing the role of secret agent Sharron Macready in the series The Champions. She also appeared in films like Batman Begins and Casino Royale. In the 1980s, she was co-presenter of Miss World competitions with Peter Marshall.

She attended the Brighton School of Drama prior to entering the worlds of professional acting and entertainment.

Trivia

She founded a non-profit organization known as the Alexandra Bastedo Champions (ABC) Animal Sanctuary. She served as president of her local Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) branch and devoted much of her life to protecting animals.

In the year 1980, she married director and actor Patrick Garland. She also dated David Frost and Omar Sharif.
