Alexander Weber

About

Sabre fencer and member of the Tauberbischofsheim Fencing Club in Germany. He has won bronze medals at the 2002 World Championships and the 2007 Pan American Games.

Before Fame

At the 2000 Sydney Olympics, at the age of 22 years old, he earned a bronze medal in the men's team sabre event.

Trivia

He was awarded Germany's highest sports award, the Silver Bay Leaf.

Family Life

In 2005, after marrying his wife, he adopted her last name of Achten and became an Argentinian citizen.
