Alexander Ekman

Dancer and choreographer whose works have been performed by famous companies including Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, the Boston Ballet, the Norwegian National Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet, and the Sydney Dance Company. He was a professional dancer for five years before becoming a choreographer.

Before Fame

He attended the Royal Swedish Ballet school in Stockholm. He began his professional career at age 16.

Trivia

His 2010 work Cacti has been performed by dance companies around the world. In the year 2014, he created his own version of Swan Lake. He was the Artistic Director and Choreographer of the opening ceremony for the 2024 Paralympic games in Paris.

Family Life

He said his parents gave him the basics of his beliefs.
