Before Fame

He studied psychotherapy for three years, and worked for a mental health service for adolescents experiencing complex mental illness. This work provided material and inspiration for his debut novel.

He wrote the film The Devil You Know, which starred Lena Olin, Rosamund Pike, and Jennifer Lawrence. He co-wrote a film called The Con Is On, which starred Sofía Vergara and Uma Thurman.

Family Life

He is from Cyprus, Greece. His mother was English, and his father was Greek-Cypriot. He grew up with an older sister.
