Aleqa Hammond

Leader of the Siumut party who took office as the 5th Prime Minister of Greenland in April 2013. She is the first female to hold the position of Prime Minister in Greenland.

Before Fame

She studied at the University of Greenland in 1991, but did not complete her degree.

Trivia

She has also served as Greenland's Minister of Finance and Foreign Affairs and Minister for Families and Justice.

Family Life

She lost her father during a hunting trip at age 7.

She is one of Greenland's most well-known figures, much like singer Simon Lynge.
