Akbar Khan

Indian actor, director, and businessman who made his acting debut in 1974's Anjaan Rahain. His directorial debut was the 1983 action thriller Haadsa. As a businessman, he has served as director of Abraiz Petrochemicals.

Before Fame

He attended Bishop Cotton Boys' School and St. Germain High School in Bangalore, India.

Trivia

He turned down a role in the 1974 film 36 Ghante. His 2005 film, Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story, was the costliest film made in India up to that point.

Family Life

He is of Pashtun and Persian descent. His brother, Feroz Khan, was a famous actor.

He and Mahesh Manjrekar both appeared in the 2013 action film Shootout at Wadala.
