American author and Christian preacher affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He published more than forty books and was most well known for The Pursuit of God and The Knowledge of the Holy.

Before Fame

He grew up in a farming community and worked at a tire company before converting to Christianity and becoming a pastor.

He edited the Alliance Weekly magazine (later Alliance Life), the official publication of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Family Life

He had six sons and one daughter with his wife, Ada Cecelia Pfautz.
