Abdi Nageeye

About

Professional long-distance runner and athlete who won the silver medal in the marathon at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In April of 2022, he went on to win the Rotterdam Marathon, his first marathon win. The same year, he came in third in the New York City Marathon. 

Before Fame

He finished eighth at the 2016 Boston Marathon. That same year he finished 11th at the Olympic marathon in Rio. 

Trivia

He has been part of the NN Running Team. His personal best time for the half marathon is 1:00:24. His running fame has earned him more than 80,000 followers on his Instagram account.

He was born in Mogadishu, Somalia.
